Budget Committee
The Budget Committee acts as community oversight for the business of the District, reviews and discusses the budget proposed by the budget officer, listens to public comment, and approves the budget. There are five members of the Budget Committee.
NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING
A public meeting of the Budget Committee for Polk County Fire District No. 1, County of Polk, State of Oregon, to discuss the Budget for the Fiscal Year of July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, will be held at the Central Fire Station, 1800 Monmouth Street, Independence, Oregon. The meeting will take place on May 16, 2023 at 6:30pm.
The purpose of the meeting is to receive the Budget Message and to receive comment from the public on the Budget.
A copy of the Proposed Budget may be inspected or obtained on or after May 11, 2023 at 1800 Monmouth Street, Independence, OR 97351 between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm- Monday through Friday.
These meetings are public meetings where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.
